Steps for installing the new MyParkingSpace App

If you already have the MyParkingSpace app installed, you must UNINSTALL the old app first:  To uninstall an app, hold your finger down on the app’s icon for several seconds and it will give you an option to delete the app or uninstall it.  You want to delete/uninstall the app completely.

For Android phones:

Go to the Google Play store, search for MyParkingSpace, and re-install the app.  If you are in one of the Suffolk Transportation buildings, you must turn off the wi-fi on your phone to do this (just use your cellular connection) since the wi-fi firewalls we have on our premises may interfere with you trying to either download or login to the app.  If you are doing this outside of our offices, it should be fine since you will not be on our wi-fi signals and be constrained by our firewalls.

For iPhone users:

You can no longer go to the App Store to download the new MPS app…  You must click on the unique link that was sent to you in the text message from MARS. You are the only person who can use this link.  It cannot be shared and will only allow you to redeem once.  This link contains a redemption code that will allow you to install the MyParkingSpace app automatically on your phone.  You will need to enter your Apple ID Password…so have it ready. 

Note: iTunes/App Store must be loaded on your phone to upload iOS/Apple apps so if iTunes is not already on your phone, you will be prompted to load iTunes/App Store first.  You do not have to know if iTunes is on your phone.  Your phone will let you know.  After you load iTunes, then go back to the text message you were sent from MARS and click on the redemption code link again to download the new MPS app.  If you have any questions, please email the tech team at IT@suffolkbus.com

Notice: Once you redeem the iPhone app code it will automatically install. It will show up as a black icon app with the name STS. It will no longer have the old yellow icon you were used to.
